Ediciones Danza Negra

Electronic music in Colombia is essentially outsider, both locally and globally. Bogotá-based record label Ediciones Danza Negra is an effort to conjure the sounds of Colombian dance floors, championing local artists and broadening the reach of the music emerging from the country’s underground.

Gregorio Gómez, Gladkazuka, is a key artist of the country’s independent circuit, with a career that spans decades he has paved the way for many. He consistently tours the country with his ever-evolving live act that touches on everything from Techno to New Beat - perhaps the most impressive electronic live show in Colombia.

Despite his commitment to presenting quality dance music in a live format, his efforts have seldom made their way to a release. Despite a couple of contributions to digital compilations in the early 2000s, and his landmark release for Cómeme, Gregorio’s output has been scarce. The label’s second release collected 4 of his early tracks and pressed them to vinyl for the first time.
